I will try to be fair and factual in my review of Eharmony. Having been less than happy with my experience on a competitive site, I was reluctant to part with my hard earned cash. However I received in excess of possible matches in a 4 week period and therefore decided to take the plunge and paid the first of 3 instalments for 12 months membership I assumed it might take this long to meet someone After paying and accessing the photos and more detailed information I found the following; 1.

The final person lived reasonably close by 35 miles however for whatever his reasons, did not appear to have either the time, availability, inclination, interest or desire to continue chatting no judgement as I accept people have their own personal reasons why they choose not to connect with someone else. I would personally advise NOT to register with Eharmony but to maximise your real life meeting opportunities. The website formula is good. The website is basic but it does do the job, i was lucky to meet someone but it does take a while.

Now if that was all it would be 4 or 5 stars. But i brought a subscription and i cancelled the auto renewal and after i did i got annoying messages all year asking me to extend my subscription. It wasn't that bad but unnecessary after buying a year subscription.

Now after a year i noticed a pending charge on my bank app. It was as soon as they billed me and it sat in pending for 4 days. Disgusting service.

This company ONLY want your money, the service is alright but if you're not careful they will get more money from you. Be careful Most of the people are on the free version which means you can see their profile but not actually talk to them. In that 6 months I got 1 person to reply, which when a convocation was attempted ended up not getting many more responses. Within the next 6 months I do get one more message after trying on occasion to spark something, unfortunately that message was from an extremely vague account without a picture and basic one word answers on their profile, was I willing to take a risk, not really.

So after an entire year I had a grand total of.. I had turned off the auto-renewal feature in the process of signing but eHarmony had charged me anyway for another subscription. Now only solution - to change the card otherwise they will charge again after 3 months. If they lie once they will lie again. Absolute waste of time and money.

I asked to cancel 2 days after the cooling off period, even offering to pay for first month. They refused, so now I am paying 2 more instalments for nothing. The company is a rip off. I just kept getting matched from people miles away! I have never encountered in my life a company that has no customer service.

I raised a complaint in February and written to them a number of times per month and still no response. This company should be shut down for ripping people off and not even be trading. Why would I choose any site that has the most pretentious, irritating group of brain dead people advertising it. Look at me with a drill and a dog I must be great husband material - makes me want to pull my eyeballs out with a spoon. Just go down the pub and meet a normal person. I wish I'd read more reviews before signing up! It's an absolute scam and they refuse to refund any money.

There is no activity on the site, I've had about 5 people even view my profile in over 2 months! The matches aren't good and their app is the worst I've used by far. It's a total waste of time and money.
