Room was nice and quit big. The vue was great. This hotel is in really good location ,near beach We was happy They have swimming pool inside and outside We were unlucky and had a dodgy room.. The bathroom was horrible. We were moved to another room when I complained and it was a lot better to be fair less damage and poor maintenance etc. It's not cheap to stay here so I was not impressed with the quality of the room for the money you pay.
The rooms are very dated and they are not that well kept.
The hotel itself is lovely and very grand.. I was a little disappointed with our stay but it was not awful. My disappointment is partly due to the cost and 'value' of our experienced. The pool is lovely. Breakfast was lovely and in a very nice setting.
Highly recommend. Huge room with very high ceiling and lots of space.
Great quality food and service. Enjoyed this. Hopefully we were just unlucky with the room - because other than this, it was a great place to stay. I can't rate this higher than Average because of our experience but hopefully you have better luck.. There's an abandoned Moorish tiled Turkish hammam in the basement, and allegedly, a secret tunnel down to the beach.

Guests are welcomed by name in the car park, and staff are warm and courteous. There's a spa in the basement, with an indoor pool, treatment rooms, and a gym offering personal training and yoga classes. While outside, a larger outdoor pool with a sun deck and sea views is blissful on a warm summer's day. The Grand has a children's programme, which includes high tea in the restaurant, bike hire, a games room and a staffed children's playroom.
But it's the extensive personal service which elevates the experience to five star. There are rooms spread over four floors, including 53 suites and junior suites.

The unrefreshed rooms, although perfectly refined err a little on the chintzy side. Gain brownie points by booking a suite on the first floor, which has a spacious veranda and bracing sea views. The bathrooms are not modern or particularly spacious, but all have powerful showers, deep baths and covetable Molton Brown toiletries.
Rooms lack minibars, the house-style preferring a more personal hour room service, but Nespresso machines are in situ. One of the biggest draws is the Mirabelle, the Grand's formal two AA rosette restaurant. The Garden restaurant is less formal and offers classic British dishes, while a pinky-worthy afternoon tea is served in the Great Hall, a stately double-height lounge with a roaring log fire and a grand piano tinkling away amidst the potted palms. Breakfast is a traditional affair, with Scottish kippers, a full English with kidneys and black pudding, and whisky-laced porridge on the menu.
