The sunset on the water was exceptional! Our dolphin sunset tour was a highlight of our trip to the OBX. It took nearly the whole 2 hour tour till the captain found some dolphins but once he did While we were looking for the critters we covered a lot of ground in the bay. The captain was very nice and did a great job sharing information about dolphins and everything we were seeing in the bay On the way back the sunset was absolutely spectacular It was an all aournd great experience that gives us a big smile every time we think about it.

Shaded place to sit before to departing. Guaranteed to see dolphins or you can come back for a free tour we saw a ton of dolphins when we went Family owned and operated 4th generation. Dolphins were seen within feet of the boat. Dolphins are truly wild, not netted into a certain area of the sound just for the tours enjoyment. Tour guide was extremely knowledgable.

Kids were welcome to stand at the front of the boat. Reservations are not needed but I would suggest calling ahead to make sure they have space on the boat. Didn't have to wear smelly life vets. Best part of the tour except for seeing the dolphins was the kids being shot by water cannons from a 'pirate tour' on the way back to dock. It was hot so they enjoyed the refreshment.

Otherwise the tour is dry, swimsuits are not needed. My girlfriend and I did the 10 am tour. It started to rain, and since my shirt got soaked, the capt gave me a free t-shirt! He had a good sense of humor! Didn't get any dolphin pics cause o was too slow, but this is a view of Jockeys Ridge, which I also recommend!
