You are gonna' get great pizza, beer, soda, and maybe a salad--that's it. A large, comfortable, rustic restaurant. Sometimes noisy, usually busy, and always an interesting crowd spanning a wide range of ages and backgrounds. Grab a seat by a window and watch the people of Columbia walk past as as they travel through one of the city's most dynamic locales.

The food is just as good at the other Shakespeare's restaurants, but dining at the original 9th Street location is always an event. This is the best pizza ever. All three locations are really fun. Downtown is usually filled with college students, More families at the other two.

They always have dough for the kids to play with. Fun atmosphere and great pizza.

I'm a fan of non-ordinary pizzas so Shakespeare's has a great topping selection that includes all the originals pepperoni, sausage, olives and some special ones artichokes, pepperjack cheese. Their atmosphere is conducive to hanging out with a group whether it be rowdy kids who can get a piece of dough to play with while waiting , or a patio hang-out with flowing pitchers of beer. The crust wheat or white is on point always and I even love their salad selection. They don't even scoff if someone orders a cheeseless dairy intolerant pizza.
