Location is good but everything seems cramped in - the walkway from changing rooms alongside the pool is too narrow and risks clients falling in. Outside pool area is lovely, great for all ages tho no life guard was visible. There may have been one but we didn't see them. Refreshments are pricey. Shower cubicles are dark - hard to distinguish between shampoo and conditioner.
Has an air of pretentiousness which makes it unfriendly to adhoc visitors. Went for a Spa day with my daughter in December This is a lovely place, huge Gym which we did not use as we were just on a relaxing spa day. We used the wonderful pool which is inside and out, the out side is lovely and warm with a hot jacuzzi at one end.
There is also a wonderful out side steam jacuzzi in the spa suite, all very nice indeed. We had lunch with a glass of prosecco, the food was light fresh and tasty. An extremely good spa day. The room decorated in dark tones combined with the soothing soft music and candles had me feeling very zen. Starting with a welcome foot ritual, I then chose the oils the masseuse would use.
Once the wonderful 30 minutes were over, I was left to relax with a lemon sorbet drizzled with a passionfruit and mango coulis. Only problem was after my three mouthfuls I wanted more, but thought it was best not to reveal my greedy tendancies. Another great asset to the Country Club is their restaurant Fuzen. Although part of the Country Club, it is also open to the public. East meets west or more like healthy food mixed in with the unhealthy.
With traditional choices of fish and chips or signature sushi and robatayaki dishes.
There were so many of us for the birthday dinner that we took over an entire section of the restaurant. There was no contest for me in the starters department. The steamed edamame beans with a soy chilli glaze were juicy and perfectly flavoured. And you may be surprised to hear with so many delightful vegetarian options I opted for the miso risotto — wild mushroom, asparagus, parmesan and crispy panko coated duck egg.
Other dishes on the table included the tempura sea bass and avocado with ponzu and lime. Described as crispy, delicious and tasty. We had to skip the dessert menu on this visit, as we had an amazing skyscraper of a birthday cake to get through. Deliciously soft, perfectly sweetened and beautifully decorated.
It was the daddy of all birthday cakes. It was the perfect setting for a very special birthday celebration. A two hour train ride for me, but you lucky Northerners have it on your doorstep. Talli Joe — Half plates and cocktails a London Indian restaurant. This sounds amazing and all looks beautiful, what a perfect way to celebrate! This looks and sounds fantastic. I am wanting to go to a spa in future to relax and rest for my birthday. This sure sounds like a great place to visit. I am a teeny, tiny bit jealous.

I have yet to check out the spa scene over here in Vancouver Canada. This looks incredible. I am very jealous. Manchester is a bit far for me too but I suppose I could get the train.

I like Malvern Spa as Worcestershire is a neighbouring county and the spa there is amazing. I have never seen such an amazing looking spa its gorgeous!
