Large fluffy bath sheets. Sun terrace, honesty bar, books and dvds provided. Filtered water. Private parking. Cons : Would have liked a heated towel rail as towels only changed every three days. We noticed the traffic noise with the windows open. Rooms were excellent, very clean, lovely freshly cooked breakfast.

Would definitely recommend, We , as a couple will definitely be returning.

Cons : The walk back from the harbour, steep hill, but plenty of taxis available. Breakfast time window, could do with being extended by an extra half hour. The location is good with easy access to all the local amenities. Staff were lovely! Wildercombe House. This 5-star guesthouse is within the vicinity of Barricane Beach and Woolacombe Beach.

Very pleasant, helpful hosts. Yummy cooked breakfasts. Cons : Lots of stairs to our rooms 16 and 17 because unfortunately the lift was out of order. The Towers. The Dorchester Guest House. Pros : The Dorchester was very welcoming - it was clean, warm and comfortable. Breakfast was nice and had a good selection to choose from. And thank you for the soya milk! Cons : How the curtains hung meant that there was a large gap between the wall and curtain which meant that the first morning light broke through.

We solved this by lifting the curtain up and propped on the window ledge. It would help if the prices for room snacks were more visible - perhaps mount on the wall? Pros : Host's superb, breakfast excellent but sadly the cleaning of the room let the hole week down, bed was like concrete, not once was our room cleaned and we had to buy some cleaning products and do the bathroom ourselves, sadly it ruined our week. Filthy to be honest, sad but very true Cons : Our room wasn't cleaned, it was absolutely filthy in places, yes some people would say your at the end of the season But is that an excuse for staying in filthy room's, No If you can't be asked then get someone who can as this spoiled our break, basic cleaning Cons : Iron in room could be useful, one on site but missed opportunity to ask.

Pros : Breakfast was excellent lovely food and well presented! Really enjoyed it! Views from our room of the harbour and surrounding country side were astounding a real pleasure! Sharon and Daryl were most welcoming and pleasant and spoke to each one of the guests each morning. A really enjoyable weekend and a beautiful place to stay. Cons : The only thing I did not like even though it did not change my opinion of the place was the bed! It was not the most comfortable of beds I have ever slept in as it was quite lumpy and gave me a bad back each morning. My fault that I did not mention it but was so pleased with everything else felt it was unfair to complain about the bed.

The room was small and comfortable and the morning breakfast was excellent. We'll definitely come back. Pros : we were warmly invited by the owner, the property was more than expected, breakfast was brilliant,. Only visited for 1 night and would stay for longer. Was amazing to wake up to. All the staff was very friendly and very welcoming. The breakfast in the morning was superb and was very thankful for the chocolates to make our anniversary more special , we will definitely return again soon! Cons : The bed was rock solid and gave me a very bad neck which is bad as I broke my neck in 2 places a few years ago.

There was no parking and the parking that we found we had to pay for. Epchris House. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Pros : The owner was informative and helpful and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was well cooked and there was a good variety of cereal, fruit etc. The hotel was set in well tended grounds. Pros : We had a nice welcome and our room was ready even though we were a couple of hours early.

We had a very attractive room overlooking the garden, with comfortable chairs, fridge and very modern bathroom. The breakfast was good and the staff were very attentive. We only booked one night but I wish we had gone for more because we could have made more use of the terrace, garden and swimming pool especially since it was lovely weather. Pros : Everything, nothing to dislike. Owners really friendly, good value for money. They have done everything to make guests stay as comfortable as possible and a bit more. Highly recommend.

Pros : Set in a beautiful hillside location overlooking Ilfracombe. We stayed in the Garden Room, complete with attached balcony and views over the town and the hotels extensive gardens, including outdoor pool! The room is of exceptional size and the host, Nicky, could not do enough for us. She met us on arrival and ensured we had all the information we needed for a short, relaxing break. It was my wife's birthday and a lovely bottle of wine was waiting for us in the room. A lovely touch. The breakfast room was delightful and the breakfasts were cooked to order at a time of your choosing with a great choice of cereal, toast, juices and yoghurts also on offer.

The hotel itself dates back to and there is parking available on site. Nicky went the extra mile again by ensuring our space was closest to our room as I have mobility issues. The Garden Room, incidentally, is on the ground floor. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.
