If you are wealthy ,go. A very interesting city and quite a lot to do. We did the Everglades and airbus ride which was fantastic. Also did a bus tour around the city and suburbs and learned about its development and all the famous people who live here.

I had trouble finding the things we needed. Several times I asked a Walmart employee for assistance and was told they don't speak English. I got the distinct feeling that they spoke English but didn't want to help because I didn't speak Spanish. This is prevalent throughout the Miami area. Driving in Miami is a nightmare. The roads are a spaghetti dish of numbers that don't always match what the GPS says the number should be. Got lost several times because of this problem. Visit Dolphin Mall to get the best shopping experience Visit South Beach and enjoy the beach Eat on Japan Inn on Doral and get the Hibachi experience If you like to party visit Wynwood Market place, it has a lot of food truck options and the party experience.
Astra, Barter, and Sviche are really good bars as well. If you want to get to know Wynwood's book the Bar bike Crawl experience, I promise you will get a lot of fun. In downtown you can visit Sugar, it is one of the most famous places and The Wharf. Miami is like no other place in Florida. The people there are friendly and fun! There is so much to do. The music is great and the food is even better than great!
We would suggest going to Versailles Restaurant and Bakery. Make sure that you try the Arooz con Pollo with plantains.
Pre and Post Cruise Hotels in Miami Beach
Miami has great energy. You can feel it in the air but it also is laid back. You won't see to many people stressed out there. Of course the beaches are beautiful too. Be prepared to be patient while driving from place to place. Sometimes it takes awhile to get where you're going because after all it is a big city and there's a lot of people there driving on the road. The drive will be worth it though because Miami is just such a fun place to be!
Overall our stay was fine. The location was close to south beach and downtown. There was a cute little bar that had live music and a relax vibe. The rooms were fairly simple but decent for the price and amount of days we stayed. We had our necessities: iron, microwave, and fridge. Around minutes maximum by car from Down Town and from Miami Beach. Although it is close to the main street, I found the room quiet. Facilities in the room are simple but clean. Personnel very friendly and very helpful.
For a small tip, the lady at the reception offered to keep my luggage safely in my room after checkout until late in the afternoon usually this service is only in hotels. It was my first time is a motel and I felt safe. I absolutely enjoyed my stay at Mare Azur Miami! This is NOT a hotel!
