Fun and Learning Live to play Storytime Tuesdays at 10am Children will enjoy being read to by Ms. Sing-Song Yoga Wednesdays at 10am Ms. I am not sure what other use the pier could be put to since it is no longer needed for its original purpose. I think if we are going to have a tacky tourist trap it might as well be out of the way on the pier rather than on Michigan Avenue with flashing neon signs and loud music constantly reminding locals and tourists alike of its presence.

One of my ideas - would probably never work - is to have an indoor Taste of Chicago.

Clear out all the booths selling tacky souvenirs and allow local restaurants to set up booths throughout the pier to sell menu items. I think what I meant in terms of use is that I would love to see all those souvenir booths cleared out of there in favor of something more memorable and worthwhile. Yes, it is a tourist trap and can be crowded, but I have been there with my kids and we love it! Can just walk around, some rides are great for younger kids, especially the Ferris Wheel. In the summer, free trolley from navy Pier to other areas downtown. May need to wait awhile. Fireworks on Wed and Saturday. Children's Museum will be perfect for their ages. Can get food then take it outside, if weather is nice..
