Climb into the yellow slide if you want to see the sun while you slide. Choose the blue slide if you dare, because it's fully enclosed and you'll be sliding all the way down in the dark. Adults can hold a little one in their lap in the yellow slide, making it a family friendly slide option. The Space Bowl shoots you down a huge slide and into a literal bowl, where you spin in circles until you drop into the pool below. Then pick up a tube and head to the Rapids, where you can float gently down waterfalls, going from pool to pool. The newest ride, Zambezi falls, pushes you off into a half pipe to slide up the other side and back down again.
Not wanting to feel your stomach drop? There are plenty of options for you too. The 4 foot deep activity pool has activities like a basketball goal to keep the kids playing. The Lazy River is perfect for sitting back and floating in circles until the sun sets. Everybody loves the wave pool where you can float on tubes or free swim.
Watch out when the whistle blows though- 3 foot waves are coming soon! This pool is also zero-entry, making it perfect for little toes just learning to walk. Little kids can explore Splash Island too, with a water depth of 6 to 18 inches and lots of activities to keep their little bodies busy.
Changing areas are available to help you take care of your little ones as well. Take a break from all the fun to refuel at one a snack shack or the Surfside Grill. You can also rent a cabana for a centralized location for the family to enjoy together. Lockets and life jackets can also be rented on-site.

Lake of the Ozarks
We took our daughter and her friends for her birthday today. We rented a cabana right by the wave pool. The kids were in heaven going in the wave pool and The worst water park I've ever been to. Everyone on duty acted like prison guards. You had to ride a tube with your feet up on the lazy river. I thought it I rarely worked weekends but those were the busiest days as expected. It can be a pretty boring job because half the spots you are by yourself, so if you want to be able to talk while working, maybe not the greatest job.
Pay is minimum wage.
You can work overtime but don't get overtime pay. They always need help so you can pretty much work whenever you want and work easily over 40 hours a week. Boring, summer heat, low pay, very little discounts, sometimes short breaks. Disorganized Waterpark. Very much a 'everyone for themselves' atmosphere in the kitchen. Often uncomfortable work setting with shoddy leadership and very few opportunities for advancement. A great starter job. A great place to work at during the summer.

There was not a lot of benefits here but was able to get into theme parks for free while working here. There management staff was great even calling me the next summer to see if I was going to be able to return. Fun workplace and keeps you on your toes. Working at Bigsurf Waterpark as a lifeguard is a huge responsibility. Its a bery fun job, and you are always in the sun so you get good Vitamin C along with a good tan:.
To become a LifeGuard is a lot of work. You have to do a certain class and 3 different test. Its a lot of work, but after that its all worth it. Its a good first summer job, for kids just starting.

Fun workplace environment. Working at Big Surf was a wonderful experience. This job was hard but it was rewarding. It was difficult because I didn't feel like I had enough eyes but after a while and a couple of saves it was worth it. Working in degree weather sometimes with no shade, standing for 8 hours at times, very anxiety provoking.

Fun and easy working environment. It is an easy laid back job, everybody typically got along. The hardest part of the job was the life guarding part. Some supervisors neglected their areas and the guards in said areas. Great summer job. The management at Big Surf is not crazy strict and is pretty flexible. It is a good first or summer job that is not stressful and allows you to have a life outside of work. Productive and fun job.
Big surf waterpark is definitely a thrill for the summer. One of the best summer jobs i have had. Good hours, good management, cant get any better then that.
