Stayed in December previously to visit Kings Dominion winter festival. Playground area near store for kids, but will be hot in summer with no shade. Difficult review. Stayed in a cabin for three nights. Not much to do near campground except for Kings Dominion. Everything else is mins away.

The cabin is pretty cool. Sleeps between people. Seemed kind of dirty.. Also dusty inside. Had two bathrooms, which were tiny but updated.

The general store was small but had all the basics you need. Still scratching my head on the pool. Was super crowded with both guests and people staying near by. Actually saw some girls leave and head out walking down the road. Had some games to play, including checkers.

Arcade was a joke. People at check in were friendly. I feel this is a try once and never go back place unless you have an RV and love to go camping. Traveling Thru.

Stopped on our way North for the night. Large campground. All sites have a cement pad. Most sites are large with tree cover. The newer sites are a bit tight. Lots of cabins. Bath house was clean and bright. The camp store was well stocked and offered shuttles to KD Park.

Re: Stop Over for RR. Stayed in a dirt back in site with full hook up plus cable, wifi and picnic tables. Other sites are gravel or cement pads, both back in and pull thru. Pet friendly park and close by Kings Dominion park. Opens May 1st. I truly understand your frustration and I apologize sincerely for the inconvenience that you experienced.
