Suggestion: please put the dance party right after story time. Much more convenient, especially for the kids. Pros: Good location, fun slides, gift store is great! Cons: The staff is great, however, the lifeguards were extreme. The life guard by the hottubs would constantly walk back and forth between the two pools and looking into the water. He did it so many times that we left because it was uncomfortable. Then the lifeguard at the wave pool would blow the whistle on little things in my opinion. He blew the whistle on a little boy and his dad after he just gripped on the ladder to catch his breath.

He didn't climb up, just needed to rest. Blew at me for just resting against the wall in pool. I didn't see any rules about ladders and walls. It's possible that the clock show speakers for some animals are broken.

The owl is the only animal that you can hear loud and clearly. Pros: The indoor and outdoor waterparks were great. My grandsons spent almost all of their hotel time in the water. Pros: The food was good!

Cons: Our first morning a male from house keeping knocked on our door wondering when we were leaving so they could get in and clean the room. Cons: The only thing we wished they had was a lazy river outside as well.

Bugs in Wolf Den in room The first night we were there, the smoke alarm went off early in the morning and woke us all up, terrifying my daughter. I inquired with hotel staff and I was only told it was a false alarm.

The second night, my son woke up during the night and said there was a bug in his bunk bed. In the morning I turned the lights on and found a bunch of bugs crawling around in the corner and I took video footage of the bugs and sent the video to the hotel staff. That was the only response I got from staff. We left in the morning. Don't waste your money. IF you want to get any sleep, don't stay here.

Wish the Hot Springs adult tub was open later. It closes with the rest of the park. Several of the slides were not operating, I can only assume due to lack of staffing, as it was off-season in mid October.

Very much family oriented park. My partner and I had a decent time, but it's really not for couples without kids. Bar was open later than posted times, but no late night food available anywhere around except for the Denny's Diner just outside the parking lot. Staff was nice and friendly, but besides the bartenders, I don't think anyone was over Date of stay: October Trip type: Traveled as a couple.

Best for Young Children. We were here for a long weekend with family. Kids ages 2,5 and 8 in the group. The whole place is well organized for young children, from activities in the lobby to the water park. Kids aged 10 or older probably would have been bored. Glad we selected a room with a fireplace because otherwise the room would have been cold. The heating and cooling unit seemed to blow out cold air on and off and wouldn't shut off. Fireplace made up for it. We didn't eat here because there are plenty of other restaurants within walking or short driving distance.

Overall worked out for us.
