The drinks were extremely overpriced. As, this was not a lavish dining place. It continued to go downhill. After dinner, we had to wait a half hour and more for our checks. Before any of us could leave, the manager asked that we show our receipt. It completely ruined our day. While paying my bill, one manager commented that we all the diners would have to pay the tab if anyone did not pay.
Even though most of us did not know each other. They inferred that because we were taking to each other congratulating our graduating sons and daughters , that we were together.

In short, management conducted themselves like thugs towers their patrons. I read some reviews on Yelp about this place and was eager to try it. We sat at the sushi bar and couldn't even see the chefs prepare rolls. I ordered the calamari and the yaki tori and was severely disappointed in both. The squid was just the ambiguous ring style that could have been pig intestines for all I know. The yaki tori was void of grill marks and had a plain sauce with it.
My friend tried the sushi and remarked that it had no flavor at all. Very disappointed in this place. Mentor doesn't have very many good restaurants and this was just another let down unfortunately. Great sushi, great food!
I eat hear often. Clean environment. Fuji Steakhouse breaks the mold from what you might expect from a restaurant that's located inside of a mall. It's a nice little place for a Hibachi dinner. The food quality is very good.

Not the best, but still really good. What's special about this place is the generous though not overdone portions. Every dinner comes not only with fried rice but a delicious Lo Mein noodle appetizer. It's something that I haven't seen done at other Japanese restaurants. It's a tasty addition to the meal. The atmosphere is comfortable and very casual.
It's perfect for families. My kids absolutely love this place and it has been their first choice for birthday dinners ever since we discovered it a few years ago. The chefs are very good. Some of them are very entertaining as well. The servers are hit or miss but nothing terrible. I have yet to try the sushi but it looked fresh with a similar open preparation area that you'd see elsewhere.
At the end of the day, I know we will be coming back again and again as I enjoy it and my family really does as well. Prices are pretty consistent with other Japanese restaurants. No better or worse.
